Solution description

Our idea is to develop an independent platform to reach the best learning technique for primary school students and support them along their learning path. This project takes place in Mexico for primary schooling and the services provided are online. It’s a business that wants to help teachers and students improve learning and teaching. Our target is for users from the middle-high class that can have access to electronic devices so that they can join our online program.

Importantly we need to count on capacitated teachers that envision each kid's learning as an individual learning experience. Our guidelines are based on Howard Gardner’s theory on eight intelligences and on pedagogic psychologists that work with our teachers to find the best learning technique for each student. We want to work on the development of a library of content for each intelligence that our tutors can consult to give fun content for the students. The content from which students learn needs to be in accordance with their intelligence, fun and interactive.

Solution context

There is a problem with the current educational model, its application is deficient for the individual learning of kids in primary schooling with multiple intelligences. We also aim to solve an educational retrograde system that evaluates all students under the same standards. We know that each student is unique, they just need the right medium to excel. Under the right circumstances any kid will enjoy learning and boost their curiosity.

Solution target group

Primary school students, teaches and parents.

Solution impact

The platform will impact considerably on kids because it helps to improve their self-confidence on their capabilities and that they can learn in a different way from their classmates, it will raise awareness on that concept of inclusive education. This methodology is easy to measure, with didactic activities focused on knowing how the user has improved since joining.

Solution tweet text

The new way to learn effectively according to your intelligence by enjoying our new teaching methods, meeting people with the same type of learning skills, and developing knowledge you are interested in. Join us in this new innovative program.

Solution innovativeness

Akama is an innovative company that provides a fun and interactive learning environment for kids. We provide a tutoring service apart from the student’s school that kids enjoy. We provide opportunities for kids that want to learn and can’t find a way at school. The teachers are learning how to better engage with their students.

Solution transferability

Our short-mid plan is to start on a national term so we can study a more specific target group just in the primary student of the country and how are they answering the platform so then we can expand to other countries. This model can be used on other contexts because the diffent intelligences are on everyone, and by learning from this first context the platform can evolve and improve into a better one and be more adaptative to every context.

Solution sustainability

This project is financially sustainable because it’s a business. The platform would work with a monthly subscription from the parents that allows their kids to access the classes and services. The money covers paychecks and is invested in further improving our teaching techniques used for each intelligence and student.

Solution team work

Our connection as a team was perfect to develop this project, our different opinions and ways to work let us be efficient and bring new and fresh ideas which we could evolve into a reachable solution for the problem we are working on. In the future we could work even better together because the team is full of different abilities that complement each other and improve the performance of every idea or project we could be working on.
